Dave Trader Press Kit: Bio and Media Coverage

Short bio: Dave Trader is a CISO, keynote speaker, and author of The Cybersecurity Endgame: America's Race Against Time. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran who began his career securing military communications, he has led security programs for more than two decades and translates complex technical risk into plain language for boards and executives.

Long bio: Dave Trader began his career in the U.S. Marine Corps (1998-2007) as a communications and signals intelligence analyst, building and operating the encryption that protected secure communications. That start shaped his leadership philosophy: never ask anyone to do what you are not willing to do yourself, and never accomplish anything alone. In the civilian world he has led security and technology programs at GalaxE Solutions, served as global Field CISO at Presidio, and now serves as CISO at HALO Branded Solutions. He is a graduate of the FBI CISO Academy and is known for a tactical to practical approach: turning technical complexity into decisions boards can act on. He is based in Michigan. Views are his own.
